Family
Kevin has been married to Susan for 20 years. They are the proud
parents of four boys (Timothy, Matthew, Joshua, and Aaron) and one
girl (Naomi). In addition to the weekly routine, the Navarro's have
a special night and a special day each week. Their special night
is their movie night where they make homemade pizza and watch a
movie. Their special day is their Sabbath. They shut down Friday
evening through Saturday to rest, play and recreate. Sometimes it's
going for a hike; sometimes it's taking a nap; and sometimes it's
just playing board games. But one thing is constant, it's always
a day of rest.
Hobbies
As an artist, Kevin loves music (particularly jazz...having studied jazz trumpet in undergraduate school), poetry, film, literature, architecture and the visual arts. He also loves to travel. He has been to over 50 countries with New Zealand and Italy having a special place in his heart. Kevin and Susan have significant memories from those countries having lived in NZ in 1990 as well as traveling to Italy during Kevin's 07 Sabbatical while the grandparents graciously watched their kids back in the US. The Czech Republic, India, Ethiopia, Jamaica and Costa Rica also have a special place in Kevin's heart because of the tremendous ministry opportunities he as had with good friends from those countries. Lastly, Pastor Kevin loves ethnic food. When going out.... Indian and Thai cuisine; When cooking at home...Mexican and Italian. This love for spice in cuisine has something to do with his love for life in general and for the various cultures that God has created.
