Kevin Navarro
Senior Pastor

Kevin J. Navarro is the Senior Pastor. He came
to Bethany in 1993 as the pastor of worship and
adult ministries. At the end of 2001, the Bethany
community called him to serve as their Senior
Pastor. Kevin is a graduate of the University of
Northern Colorado, Denver Seminary and
Fuller Theological Seminary.


Kevin has been married to Susan for 23 years. They are the proud
parents of four boys (Timothy, Matthew, Joshua, and Aaron) and one
girl (Naomi). Kevin loves music (particularly jazz...having studied jazz
trumpet in undergraduate school), poetry, film, literature, architecture,
ethnic cuisine and the visual arts. He also loves to travel. Regarding
ministry, Pastor Kevin's desire is to recover the vision of the pastor
theologian. The local church should be the place where we think deeply
about God and the issues that are dear to His heart. This should then
lead to us revamping our priorities so that we can live out the great
commandment (Matt 22:34-40) and the great commission
(Matt 28:18-20).

Mike Harrison
Pastor of Mission Mobilization

Mike Harrison is Pastor of Mission Mobilization.
He and his wife, Becky, have been involved at
Bethany for 36 years since their college graduation
in 1973. Mike is a graduate of the University of
Colorado, University of Denver and Fuller
Theological Seminary. After a 27-year business
career, Mike took early retirement and entered into
full-time ministry.

Mike and Becky have been married for 34 years and have raised two
wonderful daughters who are both married and living in the Denver area.
Mike's heart beats for missions and for helping people find their place in
God's Kingdom Plan. Mobilizing, networking, and resourcing are at the
core of Mike's ministry calling.

Pastor John went home to be with the Lord on

Francisco Mendez
Pastor of Vida Nueva para Denver

Pastor Francisco Mendez is the pastor of
Vida Nueva (Bethany's Spanish church). He hold
a Masters in Theology from a seminary in Mexico.
He loves spending time with his family, the Bible,
the guitar and a ping pong racquet. He has a radio
ministry in Spanish bringing people out of legalistic
situations.

In Latino Christianity, many people have been drawn into ministries that
have promoted doctrinal heresy and excessive legalism. This has led to
Pastor Francisco restoring hurt people by helping people find their
identity in Christ. In addition to leading Vida Nueva, Pastor Francisco is
involved in leading a multicultural adult Bible fellowship (ABF) at Bethany.
He is also fully engaged in reaching the North Littleton Hispanic
community one mile north of Bethany.

Chi Eng Yuan
Pastor of Prayer, Care & Evangelism

Chi Eng Yuan has joined the Bethany staff
as Pastor of Prayer, Care, & Evangelism,
serving on a part-time basis.
Chi Eng was born in Shanghai, China and grew up in
Hong Kong. He is a graduate of Evangel Seminary in
Hong Kong (B.Th) and Denver Seminary (MDiv,DMin).

Chi Eng served in three different churches in Hong Kong from
1979 to 1988, when he and his wife, Kar Shan, emigrated to the United
States. They planted the Denver Chinese Evangelical Free Church in
Denver in 1989 and pastored there for 19 years until 2008. Chi Eng and
Kar Shan have been married for 29 years and have been involved at
Bethany for the past three and a half years.

Chi Eng's spiritual gifts are in the area of prayer, evangelism and
encouragement. He desires to see the body of Christ caring deeply for
one another, for Christian leaders to remain spiritually healthy, and for
every believer to be sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those
who have not yet come to believe in Him as Savior and Lord.

Aaron Eichman
Director of Student Ministries

Aaron Eichman is the Director of Student
Ministries. At Bethany Aaron serves the Sr. High
and Jr. High on a weekly basis with a variety of
intense Bible teaching and exciting evangelistic
opportunities as well as a healthy dose of fun.
Aaron is a graduate of Clemson University and
Denver Seminary.


After moving to Denver in 2003 Aaron met his beautiful wife Cheryl at
Denver Seminary. They were married on January 7th, 2006. They have
a son and daughter. Aaron also is an avid outdoorsman in areas of
fishing, hiking, wilderness survival, backpacking and many others.

Joyce Bertram
Director of Preschool

Joyce currently serves as the Director of
Bethany Busy Bee Preschool, a position she has
held since 2001. Prior to coming to Colorado in
1996, she directed training for the University of
Illinois' University Affiliated Program in
Developmental Disabilities for 13 years.

Joyce is the mother of Elisabeth, Daniel, and Sam; the long-time
care-giver to Beverly and Shannon; the second mom of Erin and
Ryan; grandmother to Jonathan Slater, and wife to Dan Bertram.
She attended Wheaton College, the University of Minnesota and
Wayne State University for Bachelors Degrees in Child Psychology
and Social Welfare, and a Master's Degree in Education.

Tim Macres
Worship Leader

Tim Macres started his calling back in college
where he lead worship for Campus Crusade for
Christ at the University of Southern California. After
graduating, Tim collaborated with Christian artist
Jana Alayra to write contemporary praise and
inspirational songs some of which were recorded
on a couple of albums.


From 1995 to 2003 Tim was called to be the worship leader at
Woodbridge Community Church in Irvine, CA. Afterwards, Tim and his
family moved to Colorado where he now resides as Worship Leader for
Bethany Evangelical Free Church of Centennial. ____________________________________________________________
Daniel Bond
Director of Young Adults and Young Families

Daniel Bond is the Director of Young Adult and
Young Family Ministry. He and is wife Jenny came
to Bethany in 2010 from Texas and in June 2011
Daniel joined the staff team. At Bethany Daniel
heads up a weekly Young Adult ABF (Catalyst),
small group meetings and other activities in the
community.

He is a graduate of LeTourneau University in Longview,
TX (B.A. Christian Ministry Leadership/Biblical Studies) and is currently
pursuing the M.A. Theology from Denver Seminary. In addition to the
ministry at Bethany, Daniel is passionate about basketball (Go Mavs!),
playing disc golf, guitar and good Mexican food.

Jama Marvel
Director of Children's Ministries

Jama and her husband Mark began attending
Bethany one year ago. They have been married for
35 years and have three children and five
grandchildren. Jama earned her degree in
Elementary & Special Education and has extensive
ministry experience with children in the local church
setting.


Jama has been working alongside Erika this summer with both our
Sunday School & Children's Church.

Kris Yahashi
Assistant Director of Children's Ministries

Kris and her husband Ryo have been attending
Bethany since 2002. They have been married 17
years and have five children. Kris earned her
degrees in Education, Math Education and
Teaching English as a Second Language. Kris has
ministered internationally both in Europe and Japan.



She has been a regular teacher of our Bethany children for seven years
and has also taught in our Busy Bee Preschool.
